SPOUSE EVENTS

Tickets for spouse activities may be purchased individually on the registration form. In addition to purchasing tickets for these events, spouses and other guests (including children over age 14) may register for a spouse/guest pass, which entitles them to attend all receptions and meal events for conference attendees. Tea Party in Georgetown

Georgetown – just north of Austin – was the first city in Texas to be named a “Great American Main Street City” in 1997, the highest honor bestowed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Come and enjoy a special tea party at the home of Georgetown Healthcare Foundation Chief Executive Officer Ken Poteete and his wife, Susan. Tea and light refreshments will be served. After tea, stroll along the charming, historic Georgetown square, enjoy the late Victorian architecture and the newly restored Williamson County courthouse, as well as shopping at the stores that offer fine crafts, antiques and art. Transportation will be provided. $20

Book Signing with Lee Woodruff

Meet Lee Woodruff, awards luncheon speaker at the Leadership Conference, at a private sitting at the hotel for spouses only. Lee and her husband, Bob, an anchor/reporter for ABC News, are authors of In an Instant, a book about their family’s difficult journey following Bob’s critical injury sustained in Iraq while on assignment. Each attendee will receive one autographed copy of the book. Additional copies may be pre-ordered in advance; see the registration form for details. $20
