Insurance Programs
THA offers access to insurance programs tailored to Texas hospitals’ unique needs. Through our efforts to improve the insurance environment for our members, THA has gained a unique understanding of the coverage that Texas hospitals need — both to protect themselves and to maintain their workforce.
Casualty Coverages
Protection for a variety of situations. Insurance is provided through Texas Hospital Insurance Exchange (THIE), which is managed by the Texas Hospital Insurance Network (THINK), a THA subsidiary. THIE’s reliable, comprehensive insurance products and services are designed to meet the needs of Texas health care providers. Originally established to provide professional liability insurance coverage to THA members, THIE has evolved into a full-service insurance source that is owned by its subscribers.
Hospital Professional Liability Coverage
Protects against legal liability resulting from negligence, errors and omissions, and other aspects of rendering or failing to render professional services to your patients.
Commercial General Liability Coverage
Designed to cover claims by the general public for negligent acts or omissions arising out of your operations.
Directors, Officers and Trustees Liability Coverage
Affords protection for directors, officers and trustees against management errors and omissions, as well as protection of the health care providers against a variety of circumstances. This is an endorsed program underwritten by National Union Fire Insurance Company.
Workers’ Compensation Coverage
Provides a method to compensate employees for work-related injuries or disease. It also protects employers who could be faced with additional liability, as well as the loss of certain common law defenses, if they are sued over an on-the-job injury.
Risk Management Services
Extensive services for THIE subscribers that deliver value far beyond the premium. Data analysis, education, and periodic consultation are provided at no additional charge and are designed to result in fewer and less severe claims.
Employee Benefits
Benefits to attract, retain, and support your workforce. Provided through HealthShare/THA, a THA subsidiary. Through a strict due diligence process, HealthShare/THA endorses companies with only the highest quality and service standards. THA members enjoy special pricing on many programs.
